Production
If you have done the work in Pre-Production, the Production phase should be a doddle. During Production the Director is the main person on set and is the one that drives the production forward. It can be a stressful job but the key to it is to stay calm and smile through adversity. Be nice but make sure you get the job done. People are looking for leadership so try not to show the cracks. Smile!
Also make sure you get the right people in the right job. Don’t just give someone a camera and expect to produce the goods. This means that if you are a small group with little to no experience make sure you have time for some practice. Get people used to the roles of production. They won’t feel so nervous on the day of the actual shoot.
